The “King of the Alps”

is probably the most spectacular sporting event in the Passeiertal.

Whitewater Kayaking at the highest level and at the highest difficulty. The great thing is that you can experience both races right up close to the action.

The event starts on 8th June, Friday evening at 21 o'clock with a film night at the sports ground in Moss. Inspirational Kayak films with excellent company awaits you.

On Saturday, June 9th the Downriver Marathon starts at 12 o'clock the mass start of the approximately 100 canoeists. A spectacular to watch, about 300 meters below the Quellenhof. No whitewater race in Europe sends so many canoeists simultaneously off at the start. By bike you can follow the progress of the race until after Riffian.

On the same day the Extreme sprint final will be held in Moss. At 16:30 the top 20 of the marathon paddlers will start on the wildest whitewater course and go head to head on knock-out timetrails. The best 5 kayakers + 1 lucky looser will go against each other.

But only one will win the crown at the end. Up close you can witness the struggle of athletes against the force of the river and their opponents. The race course in Moos is easy to find.
